Karen Rann

Karen is one of the lead artists for Art for the Brain.

She is a socially engaged artist with a practice built about people, place and space. She has held many high profile residencies for organisations such as The National Trust for Scotland, St Andrew’s Cathedral (Inverness), The Salt Museum (Cheshire) and KulturTage (Oldenburg, Germany). Locally, as well as her current work with Fine Studios, she is a trustee and special schools coordinator for charity Visual Arts in Rural Communities (VARC), a freelance artist at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art since 2005.
